Registration Conditions for the website of the Architects’ Association of Catalonia
1.1.- The following text describes the registration conditions (hereinafter, 'Registration Conditions') for users of the website of the Architects’ Association of Catalonia.
1.2.- These Registration Conditions are made available to users before they send their details to the Architects’ Association of Catalonia. By clicking on the button 'I have read and accept the registration conditions', you undertake to accept them fully and unreservedly.
1.3.- The Architects’ Association of Catalonia informs you that it may at any time and without prior notice modify these Registration Conditions or any other conditions that may apply to its website; we therefore recommend that you read them every time you access the site.
2.- Identification of parties
2.1.- The organisation responsible for the website is the Architects’ Association of Catalonia (hereinafter, 'COAC'). Its registered address is Plaça Nova, No. 5, 08002 Barcelona, and its tax ID number is Q0875010A. If you wish to contact us, the e-mail address is firstname.lastname@example.org and the organisation is registered with the Register of Professional Associations of the Government of Catalonia with entry number: ARQ/C-20.
2.2.- The user (hereinafter, the 'User') is the person who has registered on the COAC website. This person must be over eighteen (18) and have the full legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
The purpose of the Registration Conditions is to set forth the legal conditions that apply when registering on the COAC website. The Registration Conditions are an essential requirement before accessing the private area of the COAC website, where, amongst other things, you can:
- - Personalise the homepage.
- - Set up a 'favourites' menu to give you rapid access to certain content.
- - View the news items relating to the current affairs of most interest to you.
4.- Customer Services
If a User has any problems, they should report the incident to the COAC by sending an e-mail to email@example.com.
5.- Other conditions
Once registered, there may be specific regulations governing the use of certain functions in the private area. The User is informed that in this case any such conditions are supplementary to these Registration Conditions and in the event of any discrepancy the former will take precedence over the latter.
6.- Personal Data Protection
6.2.- Compliance with Data Protection Law: The COAC complies with all the requirements laid down by current legislation with regard to the protection of personal data, and all the data for which we are responsible are treated in accordance with legal provisions.
6.3.- Security measures: All the necessary technical and organizational security measures have been taken to guarantee the confidentiality of data.
6.4.- You undertake to ensure that the information and details you send to the COAC are accurate and truthful. If the COAC becomes aware that the information provided is not accurate and/or truthful, or that the User is making irregular use of the website, it reserves the right to remove the user from the COAC website without the need for prior notice.
6.5.- Purpose: the purposes of the data you provide and the data obtained in the course of your relationship with us are as follows:
(i) You are informed that your details will be added to a file or files belonging to the COAC and that they will primarily be used in relation to the registration process, access and use of the private area of the website for registered users, general administration, maintenance, compliance, development, control and management of your relationship with us.
(ii) Your personal data may be used to send you up-to-date information which may be of interest to you according to the personalisation criteria determined in your registration profile.
(iii) You are advised that your personal data will not be segmented.
(iv) If you have provided us with details of a third party, you are required to have informed him/her of the above stipulations and secured his/her consent in advance.
(v) Contact: To manage your communications with the COAC, whether this involves queries, assistance, claims or complaints.
(vi) Likewise, your data may be communicated if this is necessary to comply with any legal and or/contractual obligations that may exist.
6.6.- You may exercise your right to access, amend, cancel or oppose the use of your data by writing to the COAC at Plaça Nova, No. 5, 08002 Barcelona, or by sending an e-mail to: firstname.lastname@example.org, accompanied by a copy of your official ID document; you should write the following either on the envelope or in the subject line of the e-mail: COAC Registration Conditions
6.7.- Cookies: There are no hyperlinks on our website that allow your details to be transferred to other websites. With regard to cookies, please refer to our Cookies Policy.
6.8.- In view of the above, we understand that if you provide us with your data, you are expressly authorizing us to process those data in accordance with the above clauses.
7.1.- A password is a code known only to you. When you enter it along with your username, it allows you to open a session in the private area of the COAC website.
7.2.- The password is personal and non-transferable.
7.3.- The COAC cannot be held responsible for any damages that may be caused by the inappropriate use of our website. The User undertakes to notify COAC immediately in the event of the loss, theft, copy or any other incident which might endanger the confidentiality of the User’s password.
8. Intellectual and industrial copyright. Hyperlinks
8.1.- All of the contents, brands, designs, logos, icons, software, trading names, domain names and any other sign or element on the Website that may be covered by intellectual or industrial copyright are the property of the COAC, or the public domain, or third parties which have duly authorized their inclusion in the Website and are named as the authors or rights holders.
8.2.- Under no circumstances may it be assumed that any licence is granted or that the owner relinquishes, transmits or transfers any of these rights, either fully or partially, nor is any right conferred, especially with regard to the use, reproduction, distribution, transformation or public broadcast of these contents, without the express prior written permission of the COAC or the relevant third parties. Any violations of the intellectual or industrial property rights referred to in this section shall be pursued through the criminal and civil actions provided for by current legislation.
The COAC takes no responsibility for damages of any kind caused to the User deriving from the connection failures of telecommunications networks that lead to the suspension, cancellation or interruption of the service on the Website or, in general, any other difficulties whose source may be beyond the control of the COAC and/or due to wrongful or unlawful actions by the User and/or caused by force majeure.
10.- Validity of the Registration Conditions
If any of the clauses in these Registration Conditions were to become void or inapplicable, this shall not affect the other clauses which shall remain fully in force.
11.- Applicable law and jurisdiction
The regulations of Spanish Law shall apply. In the event that current legislation envisages the possibility of the parties’ right to another jurisdiction, both parties hereby freely relinquish this right and submit themselves to the Courts and Tribunals of the city of Barcelona (Spain).
