REGENERATING THE ARCHITECTURAL AND LANDSCAPE DESIGN OF CANTONMENT PUBLIC PARK LADY'S GARDEN ABBOTTABAD - 9a Biennal 2016

Proposal purpose:
The project Rejuvenation and redesigning of cantonment public park which serves to be the only large scale public garden space for women and children of district Abbottabad, Pakistan.

Project description:
The project included the existing study and analysis of the cantonment public park Lady Garden Abbottabad and evolve a proposition and on site execution strategy of a concept that re emerges the historic character of the old colonial renaissance of Abbottabad city and the conservation and preservation of the existing foliage and development of the contextual responsive entourage which shall enhance the existing landscape and infrastructure utilities of the park space. A space that shall cater the old aged citizens, women, young teenagers and children for recreation and relaxing.the project would be build in 3 phases based on the master plan. the first phase which encapsulates the maintenance and redesigning of existing facilities and infrastructure systems, the second is the proposed development of new concepts and the third includes advanced development of the project scope.

Valuation of the finished work:
The project has completed its first 2 phases very successfully. the finished facility is serving to be the only public green park space for the district which envisage the landscape facilities and playing and exercise arenas, reading spaces and relaxing modules that evolves the "Genius Loci" for the region.
