Jornada en Horta: Afectaciones Urbanísticas y Patrimonio
La jornada consiste, fundamentalmente, en un recorrido por las calles del antiguo pueblo, que permitirá conocer el impacto de las afectaciones en el tejido del barrio, constatar su efecto preservador y valorar la oportunidad de mantener este patrimonio, formado por edificios sencillos, de carácter rural, que conforman el primer núcleo y el paisaje común de los hortenses.

Lecture by architect Taku Sakaushi at the COAC
Architect Taku Sakaushi, born in Tokyo, is a Professor at Tokyo University of Science, and has lectured at Shinshu University, Waseda University and Tokyo University. He has recently been awarded the International Award by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design for his last work in Japan, the Pine Gallery in Mito.
Kazuo Shinohara, as he designed Fissure Space, wrote that although Fissure Space looks like it disconnects spaces on both sides, in fact it creates a connection between those spaces. That`s true indeed. It is normally thought that continuity between two points should be stronger with nothing in between than with something. If there is something it breaks the continuity.
But is that true? Although physically it seems true, psychologically it is not always true. It could be said that something between two spaces sometimes could work as the device which connects them.
Isn't architecture something that attains this kind of connection?
Isn't it the main role of architecture to connect people with people, people with things and things with things?

El próximo 7 de octubre, de 16 a 20 h, tendrá lugar en el la Sala de Actos del COAC la jornada de orientación profesional y laboral ARQ'15: La profesión de arquitecto hoy en día. Nuevas perspectivas y oportunidades.
El ejercicio de la profesión ha experimentado una transformación para adaptarse a los cambios sociales, tecnológicos y económicos que han tenido lugar en nuestra sociedad en los últimos años. Así, se ha producido una diversificación de los roles profesionales y han aparecido nuevos perfiles que han cambiado el concepto tradicional del oficio de arquitecto.
La formación, implicación social y capacitación de los arquitectos para resolver problemas y abordar situaciones complejas ha permitido potenciar su participación activa en la sociedad actual para gestionar un futuro mejor.
En la jornada se hablará sobre cuáles son los diferentes perfiles profesionales que hoy por hoy el arquitecto puede desarrollar en el mercado y que ofrecen opciones reales de trabajo, tanto en el ámbito profesional como laboral.
El acto contará con las intervenciones de arquitectos que están desarrollando proyectos de referencia en temáticas muy diversas y demostrarán cómo los tiempos de crisis son también tiempos de oportunidades.
La jornada es gratuita y abierta a arquitectos y estudiantes de arquitectura.
