Conferencia | Rehabilitación Necrópolis
La Necrópolis de Tarraco, uno de los cementerios tardorromana mejor conocidos y conservados del Imperio romano, se encuentra inmersa en un ambicioso proyecto de rehabilitación integral.
A partir de la dirección del Museo Nacional Arqueológico de Tarragona (MNAT), el equipo de arquitectos tarraconenses Urbana Strata (formado por Pau Jansà, Genís Boix, Amàlia Jansà, Andreu Pont, Manuel Prieto y Eduard Polo) han apostado por la reintroducción del yacimiento a la trama urbana. Un proyecto que quiere suponer también una transformación del entorno de la Necrópolis, así como potenciar la historia de Tarraco y una nueva centralidad a Tarragona.
En esta conferencia, conoceremos los detalles de la rehabilitación y como afectará los accesos y en torno al yacimiento, sus jardines, el edificio del museo y también parte de la finca de Tabacalera.

Conference | Necropolis Rehabilitation
The Necropolis of Tarraco, one of the best-known and best-preserved late Roman cemeteries of the Roman Empire, is immersed in an ambitious comprehensive rehabilitation project.
Under the direction of the National Archaeological Museum of Tarragona (MNAT), the team of Tarragona architects Urbana Strata (composed of Pau Jansà, Genís Boix, Amàlia Jansà, Andreu Pont, Manuel Prieto and Eduard Polo) have opted for the reintroduction of the site into the urban fabric. A project that also aims to transform the surroundings of the Necropolis, as well as promote the history of Tarraco and a new centrality in Tarragona.
In this conference, we will learn about the details of the rehabilitation and how it will affect the accesses and surroundings of the site, its gardens, the museum building and also part of the Tabacalera estate.
