El llibre "Col·legi d'Arquitectes de Catalunya 1874-1962" repassa el primer mig segle de l'entitat, aquells que van des de la seva creació fins a l'arribada a plaça Nova.
Segons els seus autors, els arquitectes Enric Granell i Antoni Ramon, el llibre "se centra en el relat de l'activitat cultural de les associacions d'arquitectes i alhora és una història de l'arquitectura catalana vista des dels seus locals col·legials". És, en resum, el recorregut per la trajectòria vital d'un col·lectiu, representat per un seguit de professionals amb noms i cognoms.
La tasca dels homes i dones que han consolidat el Col·legi és una mostra que "durant un segle i mig els arquitectes catalans han entès que tenien un lloc en al vida pública i el deure d'ocupar-lo".
Prenent com a punt de partida l'Associació d'Arquitectes de Catalunya, embrió del Col·legi actual, el llibre recorre les gairebé nou primeres dècades d'història de l'entitat fins arribar, precisament, a la seva instal·lació a l'edifici que Xavier Busquets va dissenyar a la plaça Nova, al davant de la Catedral, l'any 1962.

Ara ja podeu consultar tots els números publicats de la revista Quaderns des del 1944 fins el 2010 amb una nova disposició que fa més fàcil, ràpida i àgil la visualització de cada número des de l’espai de Publicacions.
