Visita a l'edifici ICTA - UAB
La Delegació del Vallès del COAC va organitzar, el passat dilluns 4 d'octubre, una visita a l'edifici de l'Institut de Ciència i Tecnologia Ambientals de la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (ICTA - UAB). La visita, magníficament guiada, va anar a càrrec de Pau Comes, químic i responsable del Laboratori d'Anàlisi d'Isòtops Estables.
Programa de la visita:
· Exterior de l'edifici: El plàstic és dolent? No sempre.
· Planta baixa: Ni dins... ni fora.
· Planta 4a: Hivernacles dins de l'hivernacle.
· Planta 3a: Què fan els que treballen en ciències experimentals a l'ICTA.
· Plantes 2a i 1a: Com es treballa de la manera més sostenible en un edifici sostenible i què fan els que treballen en temes humanístics i socials.
· Planta baixa: Fi de la visita.
L'edifici ha estat dissenyat amb una clara aposta per la sostenibilitat, tant pel que fa al consum d'energia i d'aigua en el seu funcionament, com en els materials emprats per a la seva construcció. Dissenyat per dos equips d'arquitectes, dataAE i HArquitectes, l'edifici té atorgada la qualificació LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) GOLD pel USBGC (US Green Building Council) amb una puntuació de 73 punts, un certificat de compromís ambiental amb estàndards internacionals.
L'ICTA-UAB és un centre multidisciplinari que promou la investigació i la formació de postgrau en ciències ambientals. La finalitat és millorar la comprensió del canvi ambiental global, i de la naturalesa i les causes dels problemes ambientals. A més, estudia les polítiques, estratègies i tecnologies que fomentaran la transició cap a una economia sostenible.

THE "DECARBONIZING ARCHITECTURE" DAY IS BACK. SIGN UP!
After the overwhelming success of the first edition, with more than 300 attendees and speakers from both national and international backgrounds, on November 21st, we are once again celebrating the event "Decarbonizing Architecture." This second edition will once again pioneer the discussion on decarbonization within the profession. Don't miss out!
In the face of the climate crisis, architects have the responsibility to lead the decarbonization of the industry. If we aim to achieve the goal of making Europe carbon-neutral by 2050, we must change the way we design and construct.
To achieve this, COAC, in collaboration with the Architects' Council of Europe (ACE-CAE) and the Superior Council of Spanish Architects (CSCAE), brings you an event where we will discuss the challenges that decarbonization poses to the professional practice, with the intention of becoming a decisive asset in the transition towards a decarbonized society. We will provide tools, resources, and new skills to successfully confront this challenge.
We will learn from international success stories and address the most current regulatory topics, such as the new Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD), European Taxonomy, and the European assessment framework Level(s). We will also introduce essential tools to improve our daily professional lives, such as the portfolio of decarbonized materials or the CO2 measurement tool, which COAC will launch this year.
The event will feature top international speakers, including Josefina Lindblom, policy officer at the DG Environment of the European Commission; Dolores Huerta, general director of Green Building Council Spain (GBCe); Albert Cuchí, professor at ETSAV-UPC; Joaquim Arcas, co-founder of Cíclica; Licinio Alfaro, head of the Department of Sustainable Construction at ITeC, and Ignacio de la Puerta, director of Territorial Planning and Urban Agenda of the Basque Government, among others. Simultaneous translation services will be available.
Recognizing the importance of this milestone, institutional representatives in attendance will include Teresa Táboas, Vice-President of the International Union of Architects (UIA); Carl Bäckstrand, Executive Board member of the Architects’ Council of Europe (ACE-CAE); Marcos Ros Sempere, Member of the European Parliament; Iñaqui Carnicero, General Secretary of Urban Agenda, Housing and Architecture at the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda; Agustí Serra, General Director of Territorial Planning, Urbanism and Architecture of the Government of Catalonia; Marina Berasategui, Housing Secretary of the Government of Catalonia; Laia Bonet, First Deputy Mayor of the City of Barcelona; Maria Buhigas, Chief Architect of Barcelona City Council; Marta Vall-llossera, President of CSCAE; and Guillem Costa Calsamiglia, Dean of COAC.

ÀGORA D'URBANISME 2022
L’Àgora d’Urbanisme és un esdeveniment anual promogut i organitzat per l’Agrupació d’Arquitectes Urbanistes de Catalunya (AAUC). Va néixer l’any 2018 arran d’un conveni entre l’Agrupació, el Col·legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya (COAC) i el Departament de Territori i Sostenibilitat de la Generalitat de Catalunya (DTES).
L'esdeveniment té la vocació de consolidar-se com un espai de referència de l’activitat de l’urbanisme a Catalunya, de trobada entre tècnics i responsables a diferents nivells, tot construint un catàleg d’experiències destacades, ja sigui pel seu interès tècnic, per actuar en un espai emblemàtic, per gestionar aspectes complexos, per la innovació que aporten, pel debat que poden generar…
