Les comunitats de veïns tenen, habitualment, moltes necessitats a les que els arquitectes podem donar resposta. Determinades situacions necessiten el consell i coneixements d'un arquitecte: passar la Inspecció Tècnica d'Edificis (ITE), detectar patologies a l'edifici, determinar solucions tècniques, projectar i dirigir obres de rehabilitació, instal·lació d'ascensors i supressió de barreres arquitectòniques, programar el manteniment de l’edifici, assessorar la comunitat a l'hora de licitar empreses, etc.
L'Assessoria Jurídica del COAC ha publicat un article en què resumeix com s’organitzen legalment les comunitats de propietaris, quins són elements comunitaris i quins privatius de cadascun dels propietaris, quins acords calen per fer obres en elements comunitaris i en elements privatius i qui paga les obres en cada cas.

Convocatòria per a start-ups que treballin en solucions innovadores en l'àmbit de l'hàbitat i la construcció

L'ICEB, Habitat Cluster Barcelona i XARXA-AEDE llancen una convocatòria per a start-ups que treballin en solucions innovadores dins de l'àmbit de l'hàbitat i la construcció: l'HABITUP Startup Forum.
Si tens una solució, projecte, producte o servei innovador per al sector de la construcció, pots presentar la teva proposta fins al 15 de setembre. Els candidats seleccionats exposaran les seves propostes en el marc de la fira REBUILD 2018 (26-28 de setembre) davant d'una audiència internacional, en format pitch elevator. Podran conèixer possibles socis per ajudar-los a desenvolupar el projecte i connectar amb l'ecosistema habitat. Les start-ups finalistes passaran a ser candidates dels Advanced Architecture Awards 2018 en la categoria que el Comitè cregui oportú.

Presentación del libro "Autoconstrucción. Por una autonomía del habitar"

El próximo 4 de septiembre a las 19.30 h, tendrá lugar en la Sala de Actos del COAC la presentación del libro "John F C Turner: Autoconstrucción. Por una autonomía del habitar. Escritos sobre vivienda, urbanismo, autogestión y holismo", edición de Kathrin Golda-Pongratz, José Luis Oyón y Volker Zimmermann.

Contaremos con la presencia de los tres editores del libro; la arquitecta y profesora de la UIC Kathrin Golda-Pongratz; el arquitecto y catedrático de urbanismo de la UPC-ETSAV José Luis Oyón; y el arquitecto y urbanista Volker Zimmermann.
Nos acompañará el también arquitecto y catedrático de la UPC-ETSAB y regidor de Vivienda y Rehabilitación del Ayuntamiento de Barcelona, Josep Maria Montaner.

Open registration for the International Biennial of Landscape Architecture

The 10th edition of the International Biennial of Landscape Architecture will be held in Barcelona this September, under the title 'Performative nature".
The event will start on the 26th of September with the exhibition of the school projects at the ETSAB Barcelona School of Architecture. The 27th and 28th of September will be dedicated to the symposium, which will take place at the Petit Palau de la Música. The Projects exhibition will open on the 27th at the Architects' Association of Catalonia (COAC). Final presentations of the Rosa Barba Landscape Award will be conducted on the 28th. The last event will be a guided tour by bicycle around Barcelona, and will take place on the 29th.
Performative nature
Climate change denial, resource depletion, the retreat of democracy, the proliferation of intolerance and the vulnerability of people attacked in public spaces tempt us to fortify in the name of safety, to design defensive landscapes with defensive policies. Will tomorrow landscapes be as open, participatory, beautiful and sustainable as we imagined they could be? This moment of uncertainty, of regression, is no time for paralysis. It is time to perform, to become ecological and social activists in the shaping of our future habitats.
We need landscapes that embrace multi-performative natures. The spaces we collectively inhabit are opportunities for richer performances among people, places and natures. Tomorrow landscapes are indeed called to simultaneously perform ecological, social and political roles.
In addressing these challenges as designers, we must also rethink beauty to construct emotionally performative natures.
