Cerca de 1.000 trabajos consultables en el Recull de Mostres

El Col·legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya, en el marco del Congreso de Arquitectura 2016 y a través del Programa de Muestras, ha querido ampliar la mirada sobre los últimos años de trabajo profesional de los colegiados, en un contexto especialmente condicionado por la crisis que va des de el año 2010 hasta el 2015, mediante la convocatoriaRecull de Mostres.
En la convocatòoia se han inscrito un total de 50 obras construidas, así como otros trabajos realitzados en el ámbito de las competencias y el perfil propios de los arquitectos. Estos trabajos, junto con los ya registrados en las Muestras anteriores —todos finalitzados entre el 2010 y el 2015 en cualquier punto del Estado español— configuran un registro total que llega a los 940 trabajos.
Podéis consultarlos en la web de Muestras, identificaréis los presentados por el logotipo del Congreso de Arquitectura 2016.

Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park wins the Rosa Barba Landscape Prize

The design project for the parklands of the London Olympic Games has been granted the 9th Rosa Barba International Landscape Prize, given on September 30th in Barcelona, within the International Landscape Biennial of Barcelona. George Hargreaves, Mary Margaret Jones and Gavin McMillan, from Hargreaves Associates, are the authors of the project.
Hargreaves Associates led the design for the 274 acre parklands that formed the centerpiece for the London Games, recognized as the ‘Greenest Games’ in history, with the park declared the ‘winner of the Games’ by the Mayor of London.
The largest new park created in Europe for over 150 years, the design synthesizes centuries of British park tradition, the reality of post-industrial brownfields, advances in sustainability and resilience thinking to create a new type of park for the 21st Century. Focused around the restoration of the River Lea, the park includes a northern environmental park and a southern festival park that showcases the Olympic Gardens, which are themed around the countries who participate in the Games. The environmental north park converts the industrial canal into a naturalized meandering river corridor with lowland meadows and wetlands, sweeping lawns for gathering, and sculpted banks for viewing. The South Park creates gently terraced river banks and includes the themed Olympic Gardens – a rich and colorful tribute to the plants of the countries that gather for the Games.
The Transformation Plan set the framework for the park post-Games, replacing paving and temporary sporting venues with park programming including a cycle track and outdoor performance area, and additional habitat landscapes. The Transformation Plan stitches the park to the surrounding neighborhoods and creates a regenerated regional landscape for this and future generations.

The Rosa Barba International Landscape Prize is granted as part of the International Landscape Biennial of Barcelona, organised by the Architects' Association of Catalonia (COAC) and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). The award, with a prize of 15,000 euros, is granted with the support of Fundació Banc Sabadell.
The Exhibition of the Rosa Barba International Landscape Prize, which shows 312 projects submitted for the Prize, will be open until October 19th. Projects are divided into four categories: Articulation, Intersection, Regeneration and Transtition.

The yearbooks of the Architects’ Association of Catalonia are now digitized

Checking information in the 27 Yearbooks published by the Architects’ Association of Catalonia between 1899 and 1930 is now even easier thanks to the digitization undertaken by the COAC Library's staff.
The main purpose of the digitization project, which joins others already undertaken by the Library, is to make this very interesting information, of great bibliographic value, as widely available as possible online while at the same time guaranteeing the preservation of the original documents.
The Yearbook was used to publish material for studying the past and present of architecture, with descriptions of historic monuments and new buildings. It also included useful, up-to-date information and a list of architects and project managers, new legislation, obituaries and advertising from manufacturers and industrial firms in the sector.
There is open access to the full texts of the Yearbooks in the Magazine section of the Library.

Más maquetas de "La ciudad ideal"
Hasta el 7 de enero en el en el espacio Picasso de plaza Nova se podrá visitar una segunda muestra de las maquetas elaboradas por alumnos de las escuelas La Salle, que en el marco del Congreso de arquitectura 2016 han llevado a cabo un proyecto pedagógico para incorporar conceptos de arquitectura y urbanismo en primaria y secundaria.
Los alumnos de todas las líneas y niveles de las ocho escuelas han participado pues en los talleres, impartidos durante el mes de octubre por alumnos de la Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de la Universidad Ramon Llull y bajo la coordinación del arquitecto Narcís Font. Han analizado los temas presentes en los debates actuales de las agendas urbanas: la naturaleza dentro de la ciudad, las infraestructuras energéticas, el espacio público, la integración social, el transporte privado y público, la producción agrícola, los equipamientos, la gestión de los residuos, las smart cities o el modelo de viviendas, densidad y actividades económicas. El fruto de esta discusión ha sido estas pequeñas maquetas de una ciudad ideal (de 50x50 cm), que recogen las reflexiones de los estudiantes.
