Com generar Arxius GML per a la georeferenciació de parcel·les (UTM)
Davant el requeriment de georeferenciació de finques i edificis per part del Registre de la Propietat en els tràmits d’inscripció, l'OCT ha elaborat un document informatiu per donar a conèixer els procediments a seguir en les actuacions més habituals per tal que l’arquitecte pugui elaborar la documentació sol·licitada així com assessorar a la propietat.
Aquesta informació ha estat elaborada en base a la documentació que el web del Cadastre té a disposició del ciutadà i a la informació facilitada en la jornada organitzada per la Direcció General dels Registres i el Notariat i la Direcció General del Cadastre.
Aquest document de suport tècnic consta de dues parts: en la primera es detallen els processos i requeriments de qualitat de la documentació que cal aportar, i la segona està constituïda per uns annexes on es descriuen visualment els passos a seguir per poder elaborar la documentació georeferenciada i obtenir els arxius GML de les parcel·les i edificis.
Es tracta d’un document que, tot i no ser exhaustiu i no poder recollir tota la casuística de propietaris i tècnics, s’anirà ampliant a mida que les singularitats del procediment es vagin coneixent i concretant.

Presentation of the international tender for public housing in Les Glories
The event was attended by the Dean of the COAC, Lluís Comerón; Barcelona City Council's Councillor for Housing, Josep M. Montaner; the head of Urban Planning, Aurora López; the head of the Barcelona Municipal Housing Board, Àngels Mira; and representatives of residents' associations.
The purpose of this international architectural tender is to choose the design of a series of public housing for rent to be constructed in the Glòries area, specifically in the block formed by the streets of Castillejos and Casp, Plaça de les Glòries itself and Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes. The tender will lead to the commissioning of a development proposal defined by the Special Plan for Urban Improvement (PEMU) for the area, whereby approximately 300 homes will be built.
The tender is open to professionals and practices from any European Union country, with a deadline for submitting projects of 40 days from the publication of the tender's terms and conditions. The criteria for awarding the project include aspects such as architectural quality, integration with the surroundings, functionality and energy efficiency.
This tender contributes to the provision of facilities for Plaça de les Glòries, thereby fulfilling the undertakings made in the Commitment to Glòries signed in 2007 by residents and political parties, paving the way to convert this old traffic hub into a new urban park that will become a new economic, social and cultural centre for the city of Barcelona and its metropolitan area.

Finalists for the European Prize for Urban Public Space 2016
The European Prize for Urban Public Space is a biennial contest organised by seven European institutions with the aim of recognising and giving exposure to projects that create, recover or improve public spaces. This year, 276 entries have been received from 33 different countries.
Amongst the 25 finalists are three projects by Catalan architects or teams: ·New elevator to the historical centre of Gironella, by Carles Enrich. ·Decoration for Plaça de Sant Miquel in Olot, by unparelld'arquitectes (Eduard Callís and Guillem Moliner). ·Recovery of the irrigation system of the thermal gardens of Caldes de Montbui, by Cíclica (Marta Serra and Elena Albareda) and CAVAArquitectes (Jordi Calbetó).
The final verdict will be made public at the ceremony to be held at the CCCB on 4 July. The 25 finalist projects will form part of a touring exhibition which will visit a number of European cities over the next two years.

Unprecedented success of Catalan architects at La Biennale di Venezia
Moreover, this year the Golden Lion for the best national pavilion has been awarded to Spain, thus distinguishing the group of 55 emerging architects, 23 of which are Catalan, and highlighting their creativity and commitment to transcending the limitations of the economic crisis
Without a doubt, the Jury's decision will have been particularly influenced by the experience of Catalan architects in the task of rehabilitating and transforming cities. To all this, we should add that the Biennale's director, the Chilean Alejandro Aravena (winner of the last Pritzker Architecture Prize), selected four Catalan practices for the Biennale's International Architecture Exhibition, ‘Reporting from the Front’: Enric Batlle and Joan Roig; Eduardo Cadaval and Clara Solà-Morales; Fabrizio Barozzi and Alberto Veiga; and Toni Gironès.
Meanwhile, the project ’Aftermath_Architecture beyond architects’, curated by Catalan architects Jaume Prat and Jelena Prokopljević along with filmmaker Isaki Lacuesta, highlights seven public architectural interventions chosen as examples of architecture that improves the relationship between users and their surroundings. The Catalan project has generated considerable interest and critical acclaim and is one of the 30 projects recommended by the Wallpaper magazine.
The COAC would like to congratulate all the Catalan architects taking part for the recognition they have achieved as a result of their professional efforts. At the same time, it wishes to highlight how contemporary Catalan architecture has managed to deal with this far-reaching crisis by exploring new ways of meeting society's needs. Venice has welcomed them as leaders in their field precisely because of this demonstration of sensibility and skill. There is, however, still some way to go: our business network and sector have been so devastated that decisive government support is still needed.
