"El destí de La Monumental" a l'Aula SOS-Monuments

El proper 19 de novembre, a les 19.30 h SOS-Monuments organitza el debat entorn de la Plaça de braus "La Monumental" i el seu futur.
Hi participaran els arquitectes Josep María Montaner, Enric Mir, que alhora és el responsable de la conservació de la plaça, David Ferré i un representant de l'Estudi d'arquitectura de Xavier Vilalta. També es comptarà amb la participació de l’Associació de veïns del Fort Pienc.

Inauguración de la exposición “_IMPORT GENEVA”

El jueves 13 de noviembre a las 19 h se inaugura en el Arts Santa Mònica la exposición "_IMPORT GENEVA", que se enmarca dentro de la segunda edición del Cities Connection Project.
La muestra es una recopilación de 20 proyectos de vivienda colectiva realizados en los últimos diez años por arquitectos de Ginebra. El acto contará con la presencia de Francesco Della Casa, arquitecto cantonal de Ginebra, que realizará la conferencia inaugural titulada "Geneva collective housing".

El dijous 13 de novembre a les 19 h s'inaugura a l’Arts Santa Mònica l'exposició “_IMPORT GENEVA” , que s’emmarca dins de la segona edició del Cities Connection Project.
La mostra és un recull de 20 projectes d’habitatge col·lectiu realitzats en els darrers deu anys per arquitectes de Ginebra. L’acte comptarà amb la presència de Francesco Della Casa, arquitecte cantonal de Ginebra, que realitzarà la conferència inaugural titulada “Geneva collective housing”.

Sacred heritage, AADIPA's next international conference

The XXXVII edition of the International Conference on Intervention on Architectural Heritage, organised by the Association of Architects for the Protection and Intervention on Architectural Heritage (AADIPA) of the Architects' Association of Catalonia, is starting on December the 11th.
This year, the theme of the conference, which will take place from December the 11th to the 14th in the COAC hearquarters, focuses on "Sacred heritage: ongoing innovation".
The opening ceremony will be led by Antoni Vilanova, chairman of the AADIPA; Ricardo Gómez Val, director of the course; and Lluís Comerón, dean of COAC. Architect Mario Botta will give the opening lecture, entitled "Sacred Architecture".
This year, the aim of the course is an in-depth analysis of our extensive sacred heritage. Given its size and importance, it seems advisable to create a reflection forum in order to define how this heritage is, what its condition is, which are its legal requirements, etc. To achieve this goal, both local and international experts coming from different professional fields will discuss their experiences.
Thus, the focus on December the 12th will be constant innovation and interventions over the years. On the 13th, we will discuss the construction of new sacred spaces and changes of use. Finally, on the 14th, a day-trip to Vic is organised in order to visit the Choir and Bell Tower of Església de la Pietat and Sant Pere's Cathedral. Check the programme.
