This donation further consolidates the collaboration between the Jujol Archive and the Historical Archive of the COAC, which began almost 20 years ago. At that time, the architect’s heirs loaned more than 100 of the projects that Jujol had undertaken in the province of Barcelona to the COAC.

Barcelona City Council awards the tender to improve the Rambla...
Barcelona City Council has announced the award of the international tender to define the transformation of the Rambla. The winning team is Km-ZERO, made up of 15 professionals from different disciplines, who will take on the challenge of the comprehensive physical and social revitalization, improvement and transformation of Barcelona’s Rambla and its immediate catchment area.

The COAC awards its Cooperation Grants for the sixth year...
The Architects’ Association of Catalonia awards local and international development cooperation grants for architecture and urban planning, which this year are being awarded for the sixth time. Of the ten projects submitted, an evaluation was made of their compliance with the basic rules, the architectural proposition, the use of local materials and their level of social participation.The grants, which amount to a total of €48,000, were awarded to the following organizations:

The recovery of the construction industry in Catalonia is...
In the first six months of 2017, the surface area of projects in execution increased compared to the last six months of 2016, but is still at a very low level with a very uneven regional distribution, the majority of projects being concentrated around the city of Barcelona. Comprehensive building renovation only accounts for 30% of the authorized surface area and there are no immediate signs of growth.

The winners of the 3rd European Award for Architectural Heritage Intervention AADIPA were announced by the jury on June 15th at the COAC headquarters in Barcelona. The announcement of the 18 short-listed projects, from which two special mentions and four winners were chosen, was made during the 3rd International Architectural Heritage Intervention Biennial AADIPA.
