"Europa, Europa": Conferencia de Thomas Raynaud, presentado por Takk

El 18 de mayo a las 19 h se celebrará la octava sesión del ciclo "Europa, Europa" con una conferencia del arquitecto francés Thomas Raynaud, que será introducido por el estudio Takk Architecture.

Thomas Raynaud se graduó en la Escuela Especial de Arquitectura de París y estableció su oficina en el 2007. Trabaja en el campo de la arquitectura y el paisaje y fue reconocido con el Albums des Jeunes Architectes et paysagistes 2010, premio otorgado por el Ministerio de Cultura francés. Ha sido profesor en diversas escuelas y trabaja en proyectos públicos y privados en Francia y Europa.

One of the activities organised for Architecture Week, which aims to underline the value for people of architecture in general and everyday urban architecture in particular, is the film and architecture cycle entitled ‘Barcelona on Film’.

This cycle, which will be screened in all the city’s districts, includes a series of films in which our city is the backdrop of some of its scenes, inviting cinemagoers to think about the role of the urban environment as an essential element of our everyday lives.

In each district you will be able to watch these stories that were once filmed in or have a strong relationship with that neighbourhood.

Exhibition of the finalists in the new Vall d'Hebron bulding competition

As part of Architecture Week 2017, the Architects’ Association of Catalonia will be holding an exhibition of the finalists for the new Vall d’Hebron building, as from 19 May

In December 2016, the Vall d’Hebron University Hospital and Research Institute Foundation (FIR-UHVH) put out to tender the design of its new building along with a proposal for reorganising the Campus in which the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) building will stand. The Architects’ Association of Catalonia collaborated in the competition by forming part of the jury panel.

According to the Foundation, 'The new research building seeks to provide a clear strategic benefit for researchers and an excellent opportunity to capture and retain new talent, strengthen partnerships and provide a centre of research excellence that will be key to the future promotion of the Research Institute'.

The exhibition will showcase the projects submitted by the five finalists:

· Josep Llinàs Arquitecte + Casa Solo Arquitectos
