For Christmas, construction workshops at COAC
Construction workshops are scheduled for December the 29th and 30th, aimed at children over 6 years old. With these workshops, which will be held at Plaça Nova, the Architects' Association opens its doors to host children activities during Christmas holidays.
Children will play with Kapla, which is an educational construction game, based on rectangular pieces of wood, all the same size, with which you can build very different figures. On December the 29th, children will reproduce "Barcelona cloisters and squares" and on the 30th, they will build "Barcelona towers and Eixample".

Encuentro anual de corresponsales internacionales del COAC
La Red de Corresponsales del COAC nació en 2013 con el objetivo de favorecer el posicionamiento de los arquitectos catalanes en el estranjero y colaborar con ellos ofreciendo información para el ejercicio profesional en otros países.
Actualmente, el COAC cuenta con corresponsales en 30 ciudades que trabajan para aumentar las oportunidades de trabajo fuera de la forma más cualificada posible manteniendo al mismo tiempo los vínculos con Catalunya y los arquitectos que siguen ejerciendo aquí.

Trobada anual de corresponsals internacionals del COAC
La Xarxa de Corresponsals del COAC va néixer el 2013 amb l'objectiu d'afavorir el posicionament dels arquitectes catalans a l'estranger i col·laborar amb ells oferint informació per a l'exercici professional a altres països.
Actualment, el COAC compta amb corresponsals a 30 ciutats que treballen per augmentar les oportunitats de treballar fora de la forma més qualificada possible mantenint alhora els vincles amb Catalunya i els arquitectes que hi segueixen exercint.

Exhibition: 'Altres Pessebres'
The exhibition 'Altres Pessebres', which opens until January 10th at COAC headquarters, brings together a selection of works of the 1st Alternative Competition of Nativity Scenes, aimed at architects, artists, designers to reinterpret and expand the idea of Nativity.
Making nativity scenes for Christmas is a deeply rooted tradition in Catalonia, and most families still continue with this tradition year after year. 'Altres Pessebres' is a competition and exhibition that intends to search alternative ideas for both the conception and representation of new nativities, always maintaining a connection and respect for nativities made throughout history and nativitites still being made in a more historical, figurative way.
The competition, which ended in July 2014, was aimed at architects, artists, designers and creators in general. The popular nativity scene became the excuse for creating small utopian worlds, imaginary landscapes or visionary architectures, in order to reconsider and expand our cultural ideas, following key concepts present in popular nativities, such as narrative, scale, attention to detail, materials and light.
The goal of this exhibition is not only to present the results of the competition, but also to encourage the general public of all ages to consider other ways of making nativity scenes.
'Altres Pessebres' is a project by interdisciplinary office 3102AD and Federació Catalana de Pessebristes. This project has the support of the Culture Department of Generalitat de Catalunya, Obra Social “La Caixa”, Ajuntament de Barcelona, Diputació de Barcelona, FabLab Bcn and the Architects' Association of Catalonia.
