El mes de juliol, l'Agenda d'Arquitectura s'omple d'activitats. No t'ho perdis!
Arriba el mes de juliol i us proposem el darrer #Nothoperdis del curs, amb tot d’actes presencials per tot Catalunya per combinar-los amb sortides i arquitectures de proximitat. Comencem:
Primer, una exposició històrica al Museu de la Garrotxa: la primera exposició individual del fòtograf Hisao Suzuki, Creu de Sant Jordi 2022, i un dels fotògrafs de referència en arquitectura al món sencer. L’exposició connecta obres amb retrats d’arquitectes en díptics arquitecte-obra que donen una visió transversal del seu arxiu, dipositat ara a la Fundació RCR-Bunka d’Olot.
La nostra segona proposta és a Barcelona, on el Museu del Disseny exhibeix Transgressions, una exposició sobre ceràmica contemporània. La ceràmica, cada cop més en boga, segueix essent un dels materials de referència (per sostenible, per reusable) del moment.
Després de l’excursió a Barcelona, tornem a Olot: el COAC mostra els fons del seu arxiu amb dibuixos dels arquitectes Ignasi Bosch i Joan Maria de Ribot: dibuixos pensats per construir més que per ensenyar, posseïts d’aquesta eloqüència seca que els dona la utilitat. Un tresor.
A Figueres hi ha una exposició complementària a la d’Olot: de la mateixa col·lecció i amb la mateixa temàtica, mostra en aquest cas dibuixos de Moner, Galí i Martín Madrid, arquitectes amb una obra no tan coneguda que va crear paisatge urbà, potent i molt reinvindicable.
Però no marxem de les comarques gironines: a Banyoles es poden visitar les escultures transitables de Josep Miàs: maquetes que són en elles mateixes arquitectures, que han suscitat l’interès del Centre Pompidou, convertint aquest arquitecte en una de les nostres referències internacionals, que ara exposa a casa seva.
Tornem a Barcelona: el 7 de juliol, Llàtzer Moix presenta al Disseny Hub el seu darrer llibre “Palabra de Pritzker” amb Sergio Vila Sanjuán i Marta Thorne, una de les persones més importants per a la concessió d’aquests guardons. L’acte quedarà disponible, i el llibre mereix una lectura.
Seguim amb presentacions de llibres: si passeu per Cadaqués el dia 16, us trobareu a la galeria Marges-U la presentació del llibre "Llegat i llinatge. Una certa arquitectura moderna a Cadaqués", amb Manuel Martín Madrid, Aureli Mora i Elias Torres: bona oportunitat per viatjar-hi i gaudir in situ de totes les seves arquitectures.
Per últim, el dia 21 de juliol es presenta el catàleg de la present mostra d'Stella Rahola a Can Framis, on s'exposa la seva obra recent. L’acte tindrà forma de debat moderat per Àlex Susanna.

Suspensió de plans urbanístics i llicències per a equipaments de serveis funeraris
El 30 de juny de 2022, la Comissió de Govern de l'Ajuntament de Barcelona ha acordat suspendre la tramitació de plans urbanístics per a la implantació o ampliació d'equipaments de serveis funeraris, així com l'atorgament de llicències i/o comunicats i altres autoritzacions municipals, amb la finalitat de procedir als estudis previs a la tramitació d’un planejament per regular les condicions d’implantació d'aquestes activitats a la ciutat de Barcelona.
L’àmbit de suspensió és el delimitat i grafiat en el plànol que figura a l’expedient (Exp. n. 22PL16927), i el termini de suspensió serà, com a màxim, d’un any, a comptar des de l’endemà de la publicació de l’acord al BOPB de l'1 de juliol.
Queden suspeses:
- · La tramitació de plans urbanístics per a la implantació o ampliació d'equipaments de serveis funeraris, així com l'atorgament de llicències i/o comunicats i altres autoritzacions municipals connexes, per a la instal·lació o l’ampliació de les activitats regulades en els epígrafs següents de l’Ordenança municipal de les activitats i d’intervenció integral de l’administració ambiental (OMAIIA): Epígraf 12.29 Serveis Funeraris; Epígraf 12.31: Forns crematoris en hospitals i cementiris.
- · L’atorgament de llicències d’obres i l’admissió de les comunicacions prèvies destinades a la instal·lació de les activitats indicades al punt anterior, i específicament les obres de construcció i edificació de nova planta, les obres de gran rehabilitació, les obres de reforma o rehabilitació amb canvi de l’ús principal de l’edifici, i les obres de reforma o rehabilitació de l’edifici que afecti parcialment l’estructura, sense canvi de l’ús principal.
Queden excloses de la suspensió:
- · La tramitació del planejament urbanístic que derivi de compromisos assumits per l’Ajuntament a través d’acords, protocols o convenis urbanístics subscrits amb anterioritat a l’executivitat de l’acord de suspensió.
- · Les sol·licituds de llicència i/o comunicats d’activitats de serveis funeraris que estiguin emparats en un planejament urbanístic.
- · Les sol·licituds d’atorgament de llicències per a l’obertura, la instal·lació o l’ampliació d’activitats, i la comunicació prèvia a l’exercici de les activitats, vinculades a obres amb llicència concedida o comunicat admès amb anterioritat a l’executivitat del present acord, així com les obres que se sol·licitin amb posterioritat a aquesta data respecte d’activitats ja autoritzades o excloses de suspensió.

DIVERSE CATALAN STUDIOS, WINNERS OF THE FAD AWARDS 2022
The ceremony for the FAD Awards for Architecture and Interior Design took place on Tuesday 14 June at Disseny Hub Barcelona.
The FAD Award for Architecture went to the project Llacuna, by Arquitectura-G (Jonathan Arnabat, Jordi Ayala-Bril, Aitor Fuentes, Igor Urdampilleta and Albert Guerra). The winning work is a city-based project for a block located on an irregular corner in Barcelona's Poblenou district. The jury considered very positively how the project "exquisitely solves the difficult issue of a corner plot, of irregular geometry, placing the cylindrical communication nucleus at the centre of gravity" and valued the relations generated with the city: "a work of sense, sensitivity and conceptual clarity. A delicate commitment to a continuity of compositional tradition where beauty, respect and logic organise a whole".
The award for the City and Landscape category went ex aequo to Eduard Callís and Guillem Moliner for Bon dia, Carme!. The jury valued this project's reactivation of the Plaça del Carme in Olot as "a combination of a sum of strategies that goes beyond urban development. The ground floors are incorporated as an essential asset of the public space, and draw a new transition scenario, favouring public use over private. It is a sum of interventions that act on the commercial abandonment of ground floors and the degradation of central neighbourhoods, a common situation in many medium-sized cities".
In the Ephemeral Interventions category, the award went to the project Agrilogística, by Estudio Goig (Miquel Mariné and Pol Esteve). The project creates the framework for the presentation of the film by the artist Gerard Ortín, which deals with the role of greenhouses in the ecological transformation and the future of food production, a subject that did not leave the jury indifferent, as the installation "amplifies the projection inside a greenhouse where the materials and solutions enhance the message and the experience of the film, inviting reflection".
Finally, in the International category, the project Air/Aria/Aire, by Olga Subirós, won the award ex aequo. The jury valued "the forcefulness of the architectural gesture in a context of exhibition hall interventions that often abuse them" and considered "the link between the formal and environmental characteristics of the hall and the content it conveys" to be "very successful".
Opinion Awards
Every year, the FAD Awards finalists and the ArquinFAD members vote for winners of the Opinion Award in the different categories. This year, the City and Landscape Opinion Award also went to the project Bon dia, Carme! and the Ephemeral Interventions Opinion Award to Agrilogística.
FAD Awards juries
The jury for the FAD Awards for Architecture and Interior Design was chaired by the architect Inés Lobo, accompanied by Paloma Cañizares, Josep Puigdomènech, Pep Quilez, Maria Rubert de Ventós and Jorge Vidal. The jury for the FAD Awards for Thought and Critique was chaired by architect Marta Llorente with members Kathrin Golda-Pongratz and Alessandro Scarnato. As for the FAD International Awards, the jury was chaired by architect Carme Pinós with Pere Buil and Diane Gray as members.

WE SAY GOODBYE TO JORDI BONET ARMENGOL, THE MAN BEHIND CONTINUING THE WORK ON THE SAGRADA FAMÍLIA
Jordi Bonet Armengol (1925-2022) died on 20 June. An architect atypical of his generation and a contemporary of Oriol Bohigas, Bonet Armengol distinguished himself by having a broad and extensive career that included a myriad of buildings of varying types, in which a single work stands out. He will forever be the architect who gave the definitive push to finish Antoni Gaudí's Sagrada Família.
Bonet Armengol, born in Barcelona in 1925, graduated as an architect in 1949 and obtained his doctorate in 1965, after serving as Director-General for Artistic Heritage in the Generalitat de Catalunya (1981-1984). Son of Lluís Bonet Garí, the architect who, together with Isidre Puig Boada, Domènec Sugrañes and Francesc Quintana, continued work on the church after the Spanish Civil War disaster, Bonet Armengol inherited the commission, building more than all his predecessors combined after completing the heroic feat of reconstructing the original project. It was in 1985 when he joined the team that directed the work on the Sagrada Família basilica, a task he carried out until 2012.
An indefatigable organiser, he did not content himself with reworking it on a theoretical level: he laid the foundations for the feasibility of the project, raised funds, contributed to its worldwide symbolic character and finally completed the main hall of the project. Bonet Armengol may not have been able to see the finished building from the outside, but he was able to see it from the inside.
He was a very well-rounded architect: his career led him to build houses, industrial buildings and remarkably unique structures such as the Pau Casals Auditorium in El Vendrell, located in the district of Sant Salvador, and the Auditorium in Tortosa. In the field of religious architecture, he was responsible for the Parish of San Medir in Barcelona, located on a city block that he completed with some interesting residential buildings, a similarly interesting auditorium and a bell tower that is now the symbol of the neighbourhood.
However, Bonet Armengol was, above all, a great scholar of Gaudí. He was able to understand and organise the thoughts of this genius of Catalan Modernisme, to embody the innate value of Gaudí's work in his own career and to deal successfully with Gaudí's most emblematic project.
