La exposición pretende dar a conocer la producción de los arquitectos jóvenes y, ahora más que nunca, seguir apoyando su proyección.
Los Premios de la Agrupació de Joves Arquitectes de Catalunya (AJAC), se inician el año 1996 con el propósito de mostrar a la sociedad la calidad de las propuestas de los jóvenes arquitectos y con la finalidad de dar a estos profesionales emergentes una buena difusión de su trabajo.

L’exposició pretén donar a conèixer la producció dels arquitectes joves i, ara més que mai, seguir recolzant la seva projecció.
Els premis de l’Agrupació de Joves Arquitectes de Catalunya (AJAC), s’inicien l’any 1996 amb el propòsit de mostrar a la societat la qualitat de les propostes dels joves arquitectes i amb la finalitat de donar a aquests professionals emergents una bona difusió de la seva feina.
The COAC has awarded the 2015 Grants for Local and International Cooperation
The COAC has awarded the 2015 Cooperation Grants for local and international development projects related to architecture and urbanism.
The Jury has assessed the eight proposals that were submitted, considering the architecture, the use of local materials, social participation, and.compliance criteria.
Thus, grants were awarded to the following projects:
· AJUDA’M A VIURE
Renovation and extension of a maternity in Guiba, Burkina Faso, by architect Albert Faus Madrid. Grant awarded: 6,000 euros.
· DAW OFFICE SLP
School in Trionck Essyl, Senegal, by architect David Garcia Martinez. Grant awarded: 4,000 euros.
· FUNDACIÓ VICENTE FERRER
Provision of decent housing for 22 disadvantaged families in Anantapur, India, by architect Helena Sirisi Calero. Grant awarded: 4,000 euros.
· FUNDACIÓ ÀFRICA DIGNA
Construction of three classrooms in Kigali, Rwanda, by architect Jesús Coll Capella. Grant awarded: 3,000 euros.
· ARQUITECTES SENSE FRONTERES (ARCHITECTS WITHOUT BORDERS)
Improvement of the educational network in rural Bissiga, Burkina Faso, by architect Carles Bonet Pijoan. Grant awarded: 3,000 euros.
These grants reflect the COAC's desire to hightlight the social role of architects, as well as the COAC's commitment to devote 0.7% of its yearly budget to cooperation.

Kazuo Shinohara, as he designed Fissure Space, wrote that although Fissure Space looks like it disconnects spaces on both sides, in fact it creates a connection between those spaces. That`s true indeed. It is normally thought that continuity between two points should be stronger with nothing in between than with something. If there is something it breaks the continuity.
But is that true? Although physically it seems true, psychologically it is not always true. It could be said that something between two spaces sometimes could work as the device which connects them.
Isn't architecture something that attains this kind of connection?
Isn't it the main role of architecture to connect people with people, people with things and things with things?
